Nagarik (Eng: The Citizen) is a 1952 Bengali film by Ritwik Ghatak, one of the stalwarts of the Indian Art Cinema. It is considered as one of the first examples of Bengali Art Cinema, preceding Satyajit Ray’s Pather Panchali.
